Bose SoundTouch support discontinued

On 18 February 2026, Bose will discontinue cloud support for all SoundTouch products. Until that date, your system will continue functioning as usual, including access to cloud-based features through the SoundTouch app.

After 18 February, certain features — including access to integrated music services like Spotify and TuneIn, as well as multi-room playback — will no longer be available. However, if your SoundTouch product supports Bluetooth®, AUX, or HDMI, you’ll still be able to enjoy high-quality audio playback from connected devices.

First introduced in 2013, SoundTouch systems have delivered more than a decade of reliable, room-filling sound. As we continue to evolve our connected product platforms, changes like this may happen and we want to ensure you have a clear understanding of what to expect.

SoundTouch FAQs

Why is Bose ending support for SoundTouch?
Bose SoundTouch systems were introduced into the market in 2013. Technology has evolved since then and we’re no longer able to sustain the development and support of the cloud infrastructure that powers this older generation of products. We remain committed to creating new listening experiences for our customers built on modern technologies.

Will my SoundTouch speaker stop working?
Some functions such as Bluetooth and AUX on standalone SoundTouch speakers (like SoundTouch 10, 20 Series III, and 30 Series III) will most likely continue to work when connected to a local source, but we can’t guarantee long-term performance. SoundTouch-enabled home theatre products such as Lifestyle 650, SoundTouch 130, and SoundTouch 300 Soundbar, HDMI and optical inputs as well as Bluetooth should continue to work. Other features like SoundTouch streaming and app control, will no longer function.

Will the SoundTouch app stop working?
Yes, the SoundTouch app will no longer function after 18 Feb 2026.

Will the SoundTouch app still be available to download?
In Japan, the SoundTouch app will be available to download until 31/12/2025. In all other markets, the SoundTouch app will be available to download until 18/2/2026.

Is there a replacement app or platform?
No, we do not plan to support SoundTouch products through any other app.

Will I lose access to my saved presets?
While some existing presets may continue to work, we cannot guarantee that all presets will work going forward. You will not be able to change any existing presets once the app no longer functions.

Where can I get help after support ends?
