No remote response

To resolve this issue, try the following:

Make sure the remote is within range of the system. The maximum range of the remote is 6 metres

Check to see if either the Aux or Wireless LED flashes when a button on the remote is pressed. Depending on which source is being used, the corresponding LED will flash when the speaker receives a remote signal. Determine if either the Aux or Wireless LED on the speaker flashes when a button on the remote is pressed, then make the proper selection below

The LED does flash

It is normal for the play/pause button to be unresponsive if pressed within the last 10 seconds. In order to function properly, AirPlay® can take up to 10 seconds before it is able to perform another command from the same remote button. This is due to the amount of communication necessary to occur between devices, to ensure consistent AirPlay® system operation

Transport controls may be affected by system resources. Certain music applications may behave differently, some reacting more quickly to transport controls than others. If there is heavy use of system resources by other applications, transport controls may take longer than usual to register in the music application. Try closing unnecessary programmes that might be using the system resources

Perform a product reset. Turn off system power (unplug AC cable or remove optional battery) for one minute and then turn the power on again

The LED does not flash

Make sure the correct battery is being used. The correct battery is labelled CR2032 or DL2032

Install a new battery in the remote. Match the battery polarity to the markings inside the battery compartment. Be sure that the proper type of battery is being installed

Note: A battery tester may not be a reliable indicator of power in a weak battery. The tester may indicate that the battery has a charge, but the battery may not be able to power your device.

Be sure the battery terminals are touching the battery and not each other. The battery terminals can come in contact with each other, preventing the remote from operating properly. Be sure the terminals are making a proper connection to the battery

Perform a product reset. Turn off system power (unplug AC cable or remove optional battery) for one minute and then turn the power on again
